At Sweet Bees NM, we believe honey is more than just a sweetener — it’s nature’s gift, meant to be savored and cared for. Here’s how to keep your jar tasting just as golden as the day it was harvested.
Raw, local honey loves to change with the seasons. Over time it may turn creamy, grainy, or even solid — that’s just nature doing its thing. Crystallized honey is perfectly safe (and many people love it that way!).
To bring it back to liquid: place the jar in a bowl of warm water and let it gently melt back down. Never microwave or boil — slow and gentle keeps the flavor and nutrients intact.
Tip: Only warm up what you’ll use soon. The rest can stay crystallized until you’re ready.
Why does my honey look different from store brands?
Because it’s real! Local, raw honey isn’t filtered or processed like mass-market honey, so its color, texture, and flavor shift naturally.
How long will my honey last?
If sealed and stored well, honey keeps for years — it’s one of the few foods that never truly spoils.
Can I cook or bake with it?
Absolutely! Just remember, high heat can soften some of honey’s delicate floral notes, so use raw honey for drizzling and finishing, and save heated honey for baking.
✨ At Sweet Bees NM, every jar is a story of our bees, the blooms they visit, and the care we put into bringing you the purest honey. Treat it well, and it will take care of you right back.
